New York Yankees MLB Legend Gene Woodling Remembered

Medina County Ohio has been a growing region in the state for decades. Kotecki Family Memorials has proudly served the community and maintains a Medina Memorial Showroom in the city.

Granger Fairview Cemetery is among the numerous historic cemeteries within the county. Five generations of the Kotecki family have served the community.

Major League Baseball legend Gene Woodling is among the interred. Woodling played 17 years beginning in Cleveland in 1943, and later a part of the 1949-53 World Series winning New York Yankees. He earned the name “old faithful” for his timely hitting.
