Over 100 Years Of Service To The Ukrainian Community In Parma
Also known as St. Andrew Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery, this historical burial park reflects the strong immigrant record of Ukrainians in Cleveland beginning in the 1880s. The cemetery was named for the city’s central Ukrainian parish, St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Tremont, formed in 1902.
The City of Parma grew and became the dominant community for residential life and culture for Ukrainian Americans in Cleveland. The cemetery served the neighboring Ukrainian Catholic churches later formed including St. Josaphat (1959), St. Andrew (1972), and St. Pokrova (1973), all in Parma.
