Majestic "Old Elyria" Cemetery Holds Founder, Early Descendants
Iconic markers representing the City’s early era, Ridgelawn Cemetery encompasses 14 acres of reverential grounds. Founder Herman Ely and ancestors are among those interred within the majestic property.
The cemetery is located on the corner of Ridge Street and Gulf Road, with entrances on Columbus and Glenwood roads. The property is one of three cemeteries managed by the City of Elyria.
