Elyria's West Cemetery Nearing Two Centuries Of Service
With the most historic grave marker dating back to 1835, North Murray Ridge Cemetery holds the burial sites of many early homesteaders in Western Lorain County. The grounds were acquired from Elyria Township in February 1965.
The cemetery is located on two acres at the southwest corner of North Murray Ridge Road and Lowell Street. The property is one of three cemeteries managed by the City of Elyria.
