Stow Ancestors Among Surveyors With Moses Cleaveland in 1796

The City of Stow holds local prominence in the legacy of the founding of the Western Reserve. Many early Stow family members are honored with Stow Cemetery memorials, The park is among the most historic burial parks in Summit County.

Stow is named for Joshua Stow, its original proprietor. Joshua Stow was a member of the party led by Moses Cleaveland to survey the lands of the Connecticut Western Reserve around present-day Cleveland in 1796.

The City of Stow manages the cemetery. Kotecki Family memorialists are certified to design monuments and memorials within the cemetery.
